Slow Food Nation has teamed up with The FruitGuys to co-produce the ultimate produce crate!

Take part in a celebration of California farmers and the delicious food they produce – with a focus on rare and biodiverse products from Slow Food’s Ark of Taste. This month’s delivery will include dried cherries from Lagier Ranch, fresh organic Elixir olive oil from St Helena, strawberries from Martinez Farms, Yosemite Gold tangerines from Friend's Ranch in Ojai, Meyer Lemons from Rancho del Sol, and brown rice from Massa Organics.

Get the season’s finest monthly mix of local, fresh and original produce and preserves delivered right to your door! We try to include roughly 25 servings per crate. Typically, we classify a piece of fruit as a single serving. If there is a bunch of vegetables or a bag of beans, this may be considered multiple servings.

Proceeds benefit Slow Food Nation. All funds raised through this program will support youth engagement and education programs at the inaugural Slow Foods event in San Francisco on Labor Day weekend.

Cost: $59 per crate
Delivery: Delivered only in California on the last Thursday of every month, through August 28, 2008.
Subscription: Order month to month, or on a monthly subscription plan through the end of August.
